The game isn’t over until somebody dies.

J.T. Geissinger left us reeling with cliffhangers in the first two books of the Dangerous Beauty series, so it’s only fair that she close out the series perfectly and that’s exactly what she did.
Dangerous Games was a brutally painful, dark, anxiety filled story with breathtaking moments of hope, romance and excitement. I wanted to throw the book down, hide my head under my blanket and beg J.T. to just put me out of my misery. I wanted to shout in victory, scream in agonizing pain and cry my eyes out – wait, I actually did that last one. I cried my eyes out. A lot.
It starts out exactly where we left off, hanging by a thread and begging for answers at the end of book 2, Dangerous Desires. Eva was finally free of Dimitri, released by Killian and reunited with Naz. Interrupting their pure moment of bliss, Dimitri finds them, leaves Naz for dead and kidnaps Eva. Eva must protect more than just herself now, so with her walls fortified, her strength and cunning must keep her alive. She has to beat Dimitri at his own game.
The point of view shifts between Eva, captive and at Dimitri’s mercy, and Naz, healing from severe gunshot wounds and doing everything he can to find and save Eva.
The Dangerous Beauty series as a whole is dark, gritty, suspenseful and likely to give you a few extra gray hairs, but Dangerous Games is definitely the darkest of them all. J.T. Geissinger definitely makes you suffer throughout the book to make sure you really earned and appreciate the absolutely perfect ending.
The epilogue was worth every tear jerking, heart squeezing, gut wrenching moment. It was everything I dreamed about to keep me hopeful in the darkest of chapters. Once again, J.T. Geissinger provided another epic book to remind me why she’s one of my very favorite authors.
